Станислав Севостьянихин aka Dissident - продюсер, DJ и глава лейбла Opposide Records из г.Санкт-Петербург. Благодаря влиянию различных музыкальных направлений, творчество Диссидента отличается разнообразием и порой действительно инновационными подходами. Несмотря на то, что его сильная сторона - это, прежде всего, Drum & Bass, Станислав никогда не ограничивался одним конкретным стилем или жанром. Первые шаги в написании электронной музыки артист сделал в начале 1998 года. Набравшись немного опыта, Dissident со своими школьными друзьями образовали совместный Drum & Bass коллектив Dissonance, который имел достаточно большой успех в России и принёс Диссиденту известность. В 2001 году Станислав покинул коллектив. Дебютный виниловый релиз с треком Dissident - Technecium (feat. Paul B) был издан на британском Renegade Hardware в 2002 году. На сегодняшний день Dissident по праву считается ветераном российской DNB-сцены и чуть ли не самым продуктивным её представителем. Дискография артиста насчитывает десяток альбомов, великое множество синглов и EP, выпущенных на ряде отечественных и зарубежных музыкальных лейблов, таких как Opposide, Offshore, Hospital, Subtle Audio, KOS.MOS, Microfunk, Subvert Central, Counter Intelligence, Subtle Audio, Pinecone Moonshine, Inperspective и многих других. Помимо Drum & Bass, Станислав под псевдонимом Kontext выпускает музыку без привязки к какому-либо конкретному жанру, будь-то Techno, Bass Music, IDM или всевозможные кросс-жанровые эксперименты. На текущий момент релизы Kontext успели увидеть свет на Immerse, ~scape, Absys, Klammklang, WoW Signal и других музыкальных лейблах. Stanislav Sevostyanikhin is a Russian electronic music artist, DJ and label owner, known under the pseudonyms Dissident and Kontext. Residing in St.Petersburg at the Baltic sea shore, he spends most of his time slicing beats, synthesizing sounds and creating trends in modern music culture. He is influenced by very different kinds of music that allowed him to produce such diverse and truly innovative tunes. Although his forte is primarily drum&bass, Stan has never restricted his music to one particular style or genre. Stan started to produce electronic music in early 1998. After getting some experience together with his mates he formed the first drum&bass band called Dissonance. They had enough success in Russia, with many releases and performances. In 2001 he quit the project and went on to produce solo under the Dissident moniker. When the sound that he had polished became ready to be taken onto the world scene, his first 12” vinyl release “Technecium” (ft. Paul B) issued on the major British dnb record label Renegade Hardware in 2002. For today Dissident is now considered a veteran in the Russian DNB scene. Artist’s discography includes 9 albums and plenty of 12” singles/EPs on such labels as Offshore, Hospital, Subtle Audio, KOS.MOS, Microfunk, Subvert Central, Counter Intelligence, Subtle Audio, Pinecone Moonshine and many others. Under the guise of Kontext, he set out to write music with no genre classifications. This has become a project to show the diversity and extent of Stan’s production skills and represent his experiments with Techno, Bass Music, IDM and something we can’t even imagine. This project was exclusively signed to Bristol-based label Immerse and has got a good press from magazines like FACT, DE:Bug, Knowledge, Groove, TimeOut SPb until the end of the imprint.
