Dance in the Vampire Bund (Japanese: ダンスインザヴァンパイアバンド Hepburn: Dansu in za Vanpaia Bando?) is a supernatural romance manga written and illustrated by Nozomu Tamaki (環望 Tamaki Nozomu?). The manga series is serialized in Media Factory's seinen manga magazine Comic Flapper and is licensed for an English-language release by Seven Seas Entertainment. The plot follows the emergence of vampires into the human world, and explores how fear on both sides changes the world's status quo as they come into conflict with those who desire peace. A 12-episode anime has been produced by Shaft. Ai Enma is the main protagonist of the series, and is the one known as the "Jigoku Shoujo", referred to in the English version as "Hell Girl". As such, she makes a regular appearance in the series, although her appearance is smaller and less frequent in "Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae". She is played by Sayuri Iwata in the live-action television series. Due to the nature of the duties which she is required to carry out, Ai can also be claimed to be the anti-heroine of the series.
