The phenomenal ascent of
Australian born vocalist/
songwriter Emma Hewitt to the
status of Trance Royalty began in
2007 when she crashed onto the
international dance scene as co-
writer and featured vocalist on
the Chris Lake U.S Billboard 1 (Hot
Dance Airplay) smash hit, Carry
Me Away. Carry Me Away was
premiered by seminal tastemaker
Pete Tong on BBC’s legendary
Radio 1 and went on to become
a dance floor classic worldwide
spending over 50 weeks in the
U.S Billboard Dance Airplay Chart
where it knocked Britney Spears’
“Toxic” off the 1 position in
December 2007. The track was a
mainstream Top 10 hit in Spain
and Norway and peaked at 2 on
the UK Club Charts receiving
massive support from the dj elite
including trance heavyweights
Armin Van Buuren (World 1 dj)
and DJ Tiesto (World 2 DJ) who
proclaimed Carry Me Away to be
“THE song of the Summer” in
2007. In 2009 a collaboration
with German trance legends
Cosmic Gate led to the haunting
anthem Not Enough Time, whilst
a recent collaboration with Dutch
Superstar Producer, Dash Berlin
titled Waiting earnt Emma Hewitt
another 1 crown, this time on
the Global Trance Charts as well
as achieving the highest honor in
Trance; being voted the 1 Vocal
track of the year on the
illustrious A State Of Trance
Annual Countdown for 2009 (2
Overall). Waiting provided Emma
Hewitt with a 1 radio smash in
Germany, Belgium and Mexico
and is currently ascending the
mainstream charts throughout
Europe as well as being
scheduled for U.S release in 2010
through the World’s most
successful dance label, Armada
Music. An extensive touring
schedule in 2009 included sold
out performances across the
globe in Las Vegas, San Francisco,
London, Spain, Malta and
Australia with heavyweight
Artists such as Cosmic Gate (GER)
and Dash Berlin (NL). With
writing currently underway for a
highly anticipated debut Artist
album the stage is set for 2010
to be a watershed year for this
