Mortalitech is a vehicle for the instigation of extreme psychedelic power electronics, digital/classical soundscapes and intense performance. Assimilation of hardware and improvisation thereupon seek to expel visions of the future in which mechanical incursions upon consciousness transpose the nature of existence. The relentless experimentation and algorithmic evolutionary approach to composition exhibited by the project since it's inception in 2006, constitute a recursive hypnotic ascension to a paradigm unique in its construction. Within the climate of ever progressing technological innovation, Mortalitech redefine the parameters of sound design for an audience inclined towards the application of music as transcendence medium, seeking the next level of audible input. Mortalitech was conceived in 2006 in order to combine the complexity of classical, the sounds of electronic and the aggression of extreme metal. Teaching ourselves to produce, and finding more diverse influences, we have collaborated with artists of variant disciplines to develop algorithmic compositional techniques, responsible for our unique and immersive multimedia output

We follow the story of a dystopian future in which the mind can be read as audio/visual digital outputs, and input, and self-made deities fuse psyche with digitality to evolve, conquer, create and destroy one another’s being and omni-potency in an ever recursively mutating existence. Initial Procedure follows the catalytic character The Subject who triggers the destruction of our world as seen today through the construction of the Mortalitech Procedure. A procedure that exposes the inner workings of the subconscious mind in digital format. A technological advance that triggers political and religious outcry. This outcry in turn leads to The Subjects temporary demise and the beginning of the reign of Codec, an Putting himself through the procedure for his own gain as The Subject emerges from his own experience and dominance of his creation. Spawned from the subjection of the population and the tortures inflicted comes the digital.

Equipped with mechanical instrumentation and premeditated improvisation, the live shows aggressively hypnotise The Battalion with perverse, psychedelic and brutal performance art. Shows have featured: Rape Incarnate engaging in live torture scenarios; Trotula manipulating live visuals and recently NeuroCuritorial Bluetooth EEG stimulated visual montage, all under a Biological vs Mechanical theme. This entails a full assault of the sensors and receptors of The Battalion. We encourage them to come prepared in mind, and armoured for after the catalytic point.

Our primary focus is the creation of our envisioned future in a live environment. We aim to expand on what we have already through means of PR agreements, live performances and other new opportunities. To continue to assimilate and create new symbiotic relations. Mortalitech is a London based project combining and assimilating elements of every style we encounter and delivering them using many available musical electronics wired and rewired together to create new instruments which are improvised live together with extensive art and literature based in a fictional universe of our own design, supported in a show that so far has incorporated performances, visuals, fetish, intense lighting displays and projections to submerge the audience in our universe. No piece of technology has a set purpose. Perhaps the designer had a function in mind. Perhaps it was bought out and reconfigured by the manufacturer. Perhaps as times changed it was re marketed as something else or developed a cult following
